Sigma Healthcare (Sigma) is a leading Australian full-line wholesale and distribution business to the community and hospital pharmacies. With the largest pharmacy network in Australia and over 1,200 branded and independent stores.

Sigma engaged the services of https://threesixtyscg.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/GABC-Website-Image-1.png Supply Chain Group to facilitate their Support Centre Relocation project.

With operations scheduled to transition to the new, automated DC in Truganina, negotiations on a lease surrender commenced with the landlord in September 2021. Once the Executive Leadership Team agreed to the terms of Sigma departing the warehouse by March 2022 and the office by May 2022, the pursuit of new suitable office space to meet current and future demands began in November.

After exploring several locations and options with agents, a shortlist was created and presented to the Executive Leadership Team, resulting in the Company Board approving the new location of Sigma Healthcare’s Support Centre.

The new site was chosen because of its proximity to the exciting Rowville site as well as local amenities such as a supermarket, food outlets and a newly constructed cinema.

Detailed office design commenced on the new 5,300sqm space across 3 levels at M-City in Clayton,  in January, to accommodate 400+ Support Centre team members across various levels of the organisation. Once detailed drawings were finalised it was time to tender the fit-out works to various contractors including furniture. During this time Sigma Healthcare appointed a new CEO. https://threesixtyscg.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/GABC-Website-Image-1.png presented the final designs to Sigma Healthcare’s new CEO for approval to ensure the look, feel and fit out of the new space alignment with the image and direction of the new CEO.

By the end of March 2022 the security and IT, requirements were finalised and tendered, concurrently early tenders were completed with preferred contractors selected and furniture decisions completed. By the end of April, we received the building permit and fit-out works could commence. During this time some of the selected vendors were experiencing supply delays as an ongoing result of the pandemic. As such modifications were evaluated to ensure the end of June move-in target date was met. With all team members working from home for the final two weeks, the transition from Rowville to Clayton commenced, with the first round of members moving into the new Support Centre Monday 27th June, ahead of schedule and under budget.
