What a year 2021 has been. As we approach the two-year mark since the emergence of Covid-19, life before Covid seems like a distant memory. Over the last 12 months we have all learnt to adapt and to carry on with what has been deemed the “new normal”.
Much has changed from how we work, communicate, and engage with one another. Changing consumer buying habits, disruptions caused by closed borders and constant lockdowns have had a domino effect throughout the economy. It has been imperative for businesses to change and become agile in order to survive.
The supply chain industry has been a clear standout.
Ensuring that products are delivered and available based on unprecedented increases in consumer demand has been crucial. Looking back at the start of the pandemic we saw once readily available necessities like toilet paper and pasta stripped from shelves due to high demand. This has highlighted the important role the supply chain industry plays within our country, our businesses and our lives.
Although Covid-19 has created significant manufacturing and supply chain disruptions for many industries globally, it has also presented a unique opportunity for businesses to revaluate their operations.

Delivering six greenfield DC projects, with a total of over 250,000m2. Network and distribution centre design, operational continuous improvement, national operations and automation review, Dynamic 365 Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System deployment, Goods to Person Automation implementation, Warehouse Management System (WMS) implementation and property strategy were just a few of the services provided to our national and international clients this year.
So, as we count down to the last days of this year, none of us knows what 2022 will bring. The last few years have taught us to expect the unexpected and to adapt to whatever comes our way. Although there may be challenges to come, we are better prepared to deal with them.
